Strength: Remember when it took a computer the size of a building to perform the tasks that a laptop computer will do today?  Steel has enjoyed the same technological advances with higher strength alloys and high tensile and yield strengths.  Rhinofence TM is constructed with this technology using solid steel rods.  Tubing panels are constructed of hollow, mild steel tubes.

Metallurgy:  The strongest grade of steel available in tubing type panels  has a 50,000 lb. minimum yield (ASTM A500).  Some manufacturers of tubing panels use 36,000 lb. yield or even reject material.  Rhinofence TM is constructed of 90,000 lb. minimum tensile strength steel for superior strength and durability.

Substance:  Remember that the tubing used in tubing type panels is hollow and thin walled.  Most manufacturers use 14 gauge which is a thickness of 0.083 inches.  Some of the cheaper panels are 16 gauge (0.065 inches) or even 18 gauge (0.049 inches).  The rods used in Rhinofence TM are solid and 0.625 inches in diameter.  Clearly heavier, stronger, and more durable than other conventional livestock containment systems.
